Hailey Lamb is a multidisciplinary artist from mid-Michigan who creates work exploring the concepts of familiarity, interpersonal relationships, and domesticity. She developed an interest in photography as a teenager as a means to document her life and the lives of the women around her, and went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in photography from Kendall College of Art and Design in 2017.

Hailey’s work explores subject matter that is both deeply personal and simultaneously universal  — the homes of older relatives at the brink of transition into elder housing; the millennial generation’s search for comfort in one another in a world of uncertainty; the things (both physical and metaphorical) that we hold on to to keep warm at night. By trusting viewers with an intimate look into the private lives of her loved ones, Hailey’s work exudes a sincerity that encourages viewers to examine their own memories.
